Description
The Hotel Islazul Gran Piedra is a hotel located in the Gran Piedra mountain range, in the Sierra Maestra. It is located 26 km from the city of Santiago de Cuba, within a privileged environment that preserves abundant endemic flora and fauna. The huge rock that crowns the top of the highest mountain in the range is the third largest solid rock in the world, according to the Guinness Records list.
The hotel is located within the territory declared a World Biosphere Reserve, surrounded by ruins of coffee plantations founded by French colonists, declared by UNESCO Cultural Patrimony of Humanity.
